Laptop Extended Warranty Terms & Pricing

Effective September 2, 2026. These terms apply to the Tek Guy On Demand (TGOD) Laptop Extended Warranty. Your receipt, approved application, selected tier, and any written add-on are part of the agreement.

Tiered warranty pricing

The warranty fee is based on the laptop’s original retail purchase price. Laptop age is collected for eligibility and condition review but does not change the published tier fee.

$300–$599 laptop: $69.99 for 12 months / $139.98 for 24 months.
$600–$999 laptop: $99.99 for 12 months / $199.98 for 24 months.
$1,000–$1,499 laptop: $149.99 for 12 months / $299.98 for 24 months.
$1,500–$1,999 laptop: $199.99 for 12 months / $399.98 for 24 months.
$2,000+ laptop: $249.99 for 12 months / $499.98 for 24 months.
Approved claim deductible: $49 per approved claim.
Optional battery coverage: $69 per warranty term; covers one approved battery replacement, subject to the $49 claim deductible and parts availability.
Optional local on-site warranty visit: $149 per warranty term; covers one local visit for an approved covered claim.

When coverage begins and ends

Coverage begins on the date TGOD receives the completed warranty application, subject to successful payment verification and TGOD approval. The coverage end date is 12 or 24 months after that received date, as shown in TGOS. TGOD may request proof of ownership, purchase price, photographs, diagnostics, or an inspection before approval.

What is covered

The standard plan covers labor and eligible parts for a sudden mechanical or electrical hardware failure that TGOD approves as a covered claim. TGOD may repair the laptop, replace a covered component with an OEM, equivalent, refurbished, or compatible component, or offer a replacement solution when repair is not economically reasonable. TGOD determines the repair method after diagnosis.

What is not covered

Accidental damage, drops, cracked or broken screens, liquid damage, fire, theft, loss, abuse, misuse, pests, or cosmetic damage unless expressly covered by a separately purchased written add-on.
Pre-existing conditions, faults reported before coverage approval, missing parts, unauthorized repairs, altered serial numbers, or materially inaccurate application information.
Normal battery capacity decline, consumables, accessories, chargers, software, malware, data recovery, data loss, operating-system issues, or routine maintenance unless a written add-on or quote expressly says otherwise.
Shipping, tax, travel outside the local service area, non-covered repairs, and additional service visits unless TGOD confirms them in writing.

Claims, deductible, shipping, and customer approval

Submit claims through TGOS or support@tekguyondemand.com. Do not send a laptop until TGOD provides shipping instructions. The $49 deductible is due for each approved claim. If inspection shows a claim is not covered, TGOD will explain the reason and may provide a separate repair quote. No non-covered repair is performed without customer approval.

Renewal, cancellation, and changes

TGOD may offer renewal before the coverage end date. Renewal pricing and eligibility are shown in the renewal offer and are not guaranteed. A warranty may be cancelled or declined for material misrepresentation, fraud, unsupported equipment, or non-payment. Existing coverage does not guarantee approval of a particular claim.

Important limitations

TGOD is not responsible for data loss, business interruption, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages to the extent permitted by law. Customers are responsible for maintaining current backups and providing accurate ownership, device, condition, and purchase-price information. These terms supplement the general Terms of Service.
