Clear, Fair & Tek Guy Tough-Love Terms

This agreement (“Agreement”) outlines the terms and conditions governing the mail-in laptop repair services provided by Tek Guy on Demand, LLC (“Service Provider”) to the customer (“Customer”). By engaging our services, the Customer agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth herein.

Service Provider agrees to provide laptop repair services as requested by the Customer. These services may include, but are not limited to, hardware repairs, software troubleshooting, and diagnostic assessments.

The Customer agrees to pay the fees associated with the requested services as outlined in the Service Provider’s pricing schedule. Any additional fees incurred due to unforeseen circumstances or extra services requested by the Customer will be communicated and agreed upon before proceeding.

Service Provider warrants that all repairs will be performed with reasonable care and skill. Repairs are covered by a 30-day warranty against defects in workmanship.

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from mishandling, misuse, accidents, physical abuse, liquid damage, power surges, or unauthorized repairs or modifications performed by the Customer or any third party.

Service Provider shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, indirect, or special damages arising out of or in connection with the services provided, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of business, or loss of profits.

The Customer is responsible for adequately packaging and shipping the laptop to Service Provider’s facility at their own expense. Service Provider shall not be liable for any damages incurred during shipping.

In the event that the Customer fails to remit the required $49.00 Triage Fee within 30 days from the issuance of the repair invoice, sent to the Customer’s provided email address accompanying the laptop mail-in form, Tek Guy on Demand, LLC will not be responsible for missing or incorrect information the Customer fails to submit.

If the $49.00 Triage Fee is not received within that 30-day window, ownership of the shipped laptop will automatically transfer to Tek Guy on Demand, LLC. This transfer of ownership is to compensate for the diagnostic services rendered and any associated storage and handling costs.

The Customer will be notified of this impending ownership transfer and given a final opportunity to settle their outstanding balance before the transfer is executed. After the transfer of ownership, Tek Guy on Demand, LLC reserves the right to dispose of, refurbish, resell, or otherwise utilize the laptop as deemed appropriate.

Service Provider agrees to maintain the confidentiality of all data and information stored on the Customer’s laptop. Service Provider will take reasonable measures to safeguard against unauthorized access or disclosure.

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of the local magistrate, and the decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding.

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.

This Agreement may only be amended in writing, signed or formally issued by Tek Guy on Demand, LLC.

By submitting your laptop mail-in form and sending your device, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
