Before You Begin
- You need an active Zoom account and an authorized Tek Guy On Demand or TGOS account.
- For an admin-managed Zoom account, the Zoom account owner or administrator must approve or add the app.
- Live video support availability and included services depend on your Tek Guy On Demand service plan.
- Use a current browser and allow Zoom to open when prompted.
Add and Authorize the App
- Sign in to your TGOS Customer Portal.
- Open Zoom LiveLink or select the live video support option.
- Select Connect Zoom or Authorize Zoom.
- Sign in to Zoom using the account that will host or manage support meetings.
- Review the requested permissions and select Allow.
- Zoom returns you to TGOS. Confirm that the integration shows Connected.
Administrator approval: If Zoom says the app requires pre-approval, ask your Zoom account owner or administrator to approve Tek Guy On Demand in Zoom App Marketplace management. Then repeat the authorization steps.
Use Zoom LiveLink
- Sign in to TGOS and open the Zoom LiveLink support panel.
- Select the device or service issue, describe what is happening, and submit the support request.
- TGOS creates or associates a private Zoom support meeting with the service request.
- Select Join Live Support when the meeting link is ready.
- Choose whether to open the Zoom Workplace app or join using the available browser option.
- Grant camera and microphone access only when needed. Show the technician the affected equipment or symptoms.
- When support is complete, leave the meeting normally. TGOS retains the related service status and permitted support record.
Privacy reminder: Do not display passwords, payment-card details, health information, or unrelated confidential material during video support. Sessions are not recorded unless notice is provided and any required consent is obtained.
Disconnect Zoom from TGOS
- Sign in to TGOS with an account authorized to manage integrations.
- Open Settings, then Integrations or Zoom LiveLink.
- Select Disconnect Zoom and confirm.
Disconnecting prevents TGOS from creating or managing new Zoom meetings until the integration is authorized again.
Remove the App from Zoom
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Open Manage, then Added Apps or Installed Apps.
- Select Tek Guy On Demand.
- Select Remove or Uninstall and confirm.
- If the app is admin-managed, the Zoom account owner or administrator must complete the removal.
Removing the Zoom app revokes its Zoom authorization. It does not automatically erase service records that Tek Guy On Demand must retain for legitimate support, billing, security, or legal purposes.
